Hospitals > Introduction
Environments that promote the healing process
are some of the most important spaces we design. Our experience ensures
the successful integration of architecture, engineering, communications,
medical technology and equipment planning, while our commitment is to
create contemporary, warm and comfortable space that promotes healing
while serving both the patient and the staff. As an example of our
commitment to excellence in healthcare architecture, our firm was honored
with the National VISTA Award from the American Society for Healthcare
Engineering (ASHE) of the American Hospital Association (AHA).
We
offer a board-certified member of the
American
College of Healthcare Architects (ACHA). This is the highest
designation for those architects who plan and design healthcare
facilities, and we are one of just a few architects to offer this
expertise in the mid-west.
In a constant effort to improve our designs, expertise, and to update
our clients on industry developments, MKM publishes a “Focus on Design”
piece featuring an analysis of past hospital projects and marketplace
trends.
