MKM Named to Building Design +Construction’s Top Hospital Facility Architecture Firms — A Reflection on Health, Well-Being, and Purpose-Driven Design

We are honored to share that MKM architecture + design has been named one of Building Design + Construction’s Top 130 Hospital Facility Architecture Firms in the 2025 Giants 400 Report. This annual ranking contains the nation’s largest and most impactful design firms working in hospital facility architecture. This list is part of BD+C’s annual report, which surveys more than 600 architecture, engineering, and construction firms across 25 building sectors to showcase leaders shaping the built environment.

For us at MKM, this recognition is more than a ranking — it underscores the significance of intentional, patient-centered design in healthcare environments.

Design That Supports Well-Being + Better Outcomes

Healthcare design has a unique impact. Well-designed spaces can reduce stress, improve wayfinding, foster connection, and ultimately contribute to better patient outcomes.  The responsibility to do so informs every project we take on. Whether it’s a hospital, ASC, or outpatient facility, we seek to create environments that support healing, resilience, and a sense of dignity for all who enter each building.

Our projects are shaped by deep collaboration with clients and communities to understand their culture, needs, and aspirations. This approach ensures that design solutions meet functional requirements while also amplifying a sense of comfort, safety, and belonging — factors that matter profoundly in care settings.

Purpose-Driven Design

Being recognized alongside firms from across the country is a testament to the trust our clients and partners place in us and to the dedication of our team.

We are committed to designing spaces that elevate well-being, strengthen communities, and help shape the future of healthcare.
