Since joining MKM in 2009, Andy Mitchell has led design efforts on numerous healthcare and community health projects. As a proven leader of complex projects, he is skilled at guiding multidisciplinary stakeholders by combining technology, functionality, and experience within healthcare environments. Andrew enjoys working with clinical teams to optimize workflows and improve patient well-being.
Andrew has experience in community-based design, adaptive reuse, and integrated project delivery (IPD) through Building Information Modeling (BIM). He strives to bring fresh ideas, expand critical thinking, and convey a challenging perspective to the discipline. Within the firm, Andrew has led the effort to incorporate Virtual Reality into the design process to improve best practices and streamline workflow.
With a background in planning and community-based projects, Andrew has been involved in advocating the benefits of mixed-use development and quality civic spaces through writings, public workshops, and community events.
