A helping hand.

Byron Health has partnered with MKM to imagine a new campus celebrating the lives and unique needs of the residents they serve.

Located on the corner of Beacon Street and Lake Avenue in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the 126,000 SF facility will consist of five nursing care neighborhoods that serve two households of twelve residents each. Fifty additional assisted living residential apartments will be designed to promote social integration and inclusivity. Common amenities include a campus café, wellness center, and multi-use event space, as well as other care, administrative, and support spaces. Byron Health Center serves a protected and vulnerable population who have multiple diagnoses. These diagnoses will vary by individual but usually include psychiatric and developmental disorders coupled with medical conditions, dementia or even physical disabilities.
