MKM was named a “Top Architecture Firm” by Modern Healthcare for the 19th year—one of just three Indiana firms recognized on the list.

Reaffirming their commitment to shape the next generation of architects
MKM architecture + design (MKM) consists of a talented design team that is growing with the addition of two new Associates, both recent award-winning graduates and previous interns for the firm.
Fort Wayne native Matthew Coffee earned his Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University. His academic experience included participating in the 2023 MKM + Ball State CAP Steel Competition, where his project, The Canopy, was awarded the Menze Prize, which recognizes how student design incorporates health placemaking principles.
Halle Rezo also earned her Bachelor of Architecture degree from Ball State University. During the accredited five-year program, she was recognized in 2025 with the Thesis Project Book Award for her project, “Open Aggregate,” which explored the capabilities of an architectural system to make underserved neighborhoods more resilient and allow for better housing flexibility. She was also named one of Ball State’s Top 100 Students in 2025.
MKM architecture + design President Zachary Benedict shares, “Our commitment to the next generation of architects not only shapes the future of the profession but helps ensure communities are enriched by thoughtful, compassionate design.”
