The future site of the $20 million development is on the corner of Harrison and Columbia Street in downtown Fort Wayne, IN.
Where did you grow up?
Fort Wayne, born and raised.
What is your favorite part of your job?
When interviewing for this position, I was told that this firm was (in the best way) synonymous with the island of misfits. I have not been disappointed in this regard, and I appreciate the unique and individual nuances each team member contributes to the culture and dynamic of MKM. Their personalities bleed into their work and contribute to how they create for our clients and community. It’s an honor to work among so many brilliant and creative minds and observe inventive problem-solving. I am challenged and inspired every day.
What motivates you to come to work every day at MKM?
The staff, who we are, and what we do collectively as a firm. I am so proud to say I work for MKM.
Where do you look for inspiration?
My kids, in a sense, they look at life through a much simpler lens. It’s a wonderful reminder to find inspiration in the ordinary.
How do you recharge during your free time?
I’d like to say going to the gym…but my current escape has been rewatching ER and Chernobyl in my pj’s in front of the fireplace. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I love a good spa day at home with my kids or kayaking whenever I can.

What is your favorite time of the year?
It’s hard to pick one season…but I can say with certainty that I like summer the least. I love the snow, so here’s hoping for a 2025 wintergeddon.
Where is your favorite place to travel?
I recently was fortunate enough to travel to the British Virgin Islands. We sailed to different islands, and it was stunning. Being on the ocean and traveling on a smaller vessel with crew and guests alike is such a unique experience that I don’t take for granted. I find joy in each different adventure because I’m exposed to new experiences I’d never otherwise get the chance to partake in.

What is your favorite quote?
It is so difficult to select just one quote! “The chief enemy of creativity is good sense” – Pablo Picasso
What was the last book you read?
Does it count if I am in the process? I’m a little ashamed of my proclivity towards fiction, so I will claim the most recent book I’ve opened and read some snippets in is an autobiography my grandfather wrote – A Sailor’s Life. He details his life story, one of adventure and accomplishment, but he was most proud of his heritage and family.
Tell us a fun fact about yourself!
I am a sucker for a great dad joke. Any pun you can throw my way, I will always appreciate.
