MKM architecture + design promotes Andrew Mitchell to Associate Principal

News

MKM architecture + design (MKM) is excited to announce that Andrew Mitchell, AIA, ACHA, has been promoted to Associate Principal. Mitchell earned his Bachelor of Science in Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architecture from Ball State University and is a registered architect.

Since joining MKM in 2009, Mitchell has led design efforts on numerous healthcare and community health projects. As a proven leader of complex projects, he is continually seeking innovations that enable clients to lower costs while improving service and patient satisfaction. He strives to bring fresh ideas, expand critical thinking, and convey a challenging perspective within the design team to transform healthcare through better built environments.

Mitchell’s dedication to professional growth is a constant. In 2017, he earned the respected ACHA certification. ACHA (American College of Healthcare Architects) offers this certification for architects who practice as healthcare specialists and pass a rigorous application process, portfolio review and certification exam. Roughly 490 architects in the U.S. have obtained this certification, only 18 of which live in Indiana. Mitchell is now one of four in the northeast Indiana area.
