A partnership between MKM and Domo Development worked to reimagine a site along the St. Mary’s River in downtown Fort Wayne to further enhance the growing cityscape. This planning study suggests a multiple phased mixed-use development which would include residential apartments with a parking deck and street-front commercial space on the lower levels of each building. In addition to the mixed-use buildings, future amenities could include a 5,000-seat capacity event arena, basketball courts, a new boulevard, family playscapes, a riverwalk, canopy fountain, and a pedestrian bridge to connect the land on opposing sides of the river. A tiered riverfront plaza was also conceptualized to allow for engagement and programming space.
