Northwest Health Porter Hybrid Lab and PACU

Expanding Servies

Valparaiso, Indiana

The design team worked with Northwest Health Porter Hospital to plan the renovation of two existing shell spaces and the associated corridor within the catheterization (cath) lab suite. The project included a new 863 square foot Class 3 hybrid room, control room, system component room, a three bay PACU, and support spaces. Additionally, finish renovations for the semi-restricted corridor within the cath lab suite were included, consisting of new flooring, paint, wall protection, and corridor door upgrades to meet the current Facility Guidelines Institute (FGI) Guidelines for Hospitals.

The hybrid room includes a Philips bi-plane system with Steris light, anesthesia, and equipment booms located around the cantilever table within the procedure room. This room expands the facility’s capability to serve cardiology and interventional radiology patients in Northwest Indiana with the latest therapies and procedures.
