On April 27, 2023 at 3:30 p.m., MKM's Fishbowl event will feature Andrew Gritzmaker of the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne.
On February 14, 2023, a groundbreaking ceremony was held to commence the first phase of Village Premier, a multi-family housing campus on a 22-acre site on the southeast side of Fort Wayne. A development of this size is the first to take shape in this area in generations. Phase I of the $45 million dollar project includes 208 units of affordable housing and nine market rate single-family homes. The first phase is to conclude by June 2024 with leasing expected to begin in the Fall of 2023. Future phases over the course of the project will include community amenities such as senior and income-based housing options, childcare, a health clinic, and commercial space.

The Village Premier project is a collaboration between House Investments, Indiana Housing & Community Development, Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership, and the City of Fort Wayne. Project partners include MKM architecture + design, Michael Kinder & Sons, HI Management, CREA, First Merchants Bank, STAR Bank, Cedar Rapids Bank & Trust, Indiana’s READI program, and Engineering Resources, Inc. “I’m enthusiastic about what we’re seeing take place in southeast Fort Wayne,” said Mayor Tom Henry. “We’re looking forward to partnering with House Investments as we work together to make a lasting and meaningful difference.
